The interior bug bit me at a young age moving around and setting up houses all over the world. When my family moved from Jakarta, Indonesia to Dorset, England, our four foot stone buddha was happy standing behind the woolen tartan chair. The teak opium bed held Mum's gardening books and Dad's delftware. My inspiration is drawn from nature, travel, and my own imagination. I am interested in making layered rooms that use color and pattern, a mix of old and new, to create character rich and comfortable places to live. I’m a believer in surrounding yourself with beauty, color, and a sprinkling of humor.
We grow most of the flowers that are used in the arrangements right here in our garden. This little flower farm is within walking distance to Portland's 23rd street. Can’t get anymore local than that! My flower arrangements have a wildness to them. Perhaps that comes from the uncommon garden blooms we grow from seed or the branches we forage in the black of night with a torch!
